Job Summary

The Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for supervising, executing, and delivering electrical works on-site in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines. The role includes overseeing installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance activities, and coordinating with contractors, clients, and other engineering disciplines.

• Supervise and monitor electrical installation works (cabling, wiring, lighting, power distribution, grounding, panels, etc.).
• Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, project specifications, and local electrical codes.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate work progress.
• Prepare daily site reports, checklists, and progress updates.
• Conduct testing of electrical systems such as continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, and equipment functionality checks.
• Assist in commissioning LV/MV panels, generators, UPS, fire alarm systems, ELV systems, and other electrical equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for electrical systems and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Support maintenance planning and ensure timely execution.
• Review and understand electrical drawings, BOQs, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Prepare material requests and ensure availability of required tools and equipment.
• Assist in preparing As-Built drawings and O&M manuals.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and other engineering teams to resolve site issues.
• Attend site meetings with consultants, clients, and project teams.
• Ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).

Experience:

• 1–3 years’ experience in electrical works within the construction and/or maintenance sector.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of LV/MV electrical systems.
• Knowledge of ELV, fire alarm, CCTV, and BMS systems (preferred).
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, shop drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Familiar with testing tools such as megger, multimeter, and clamp meter.
